Classics

Studying the ancient world opens our eyes to how cultures evolve and operate, and a Classics degree will give you the tools to apply these lessons in your future career

Classics allows you to explore ancient Greek and Roman cultures, language, literature, philosophy, ancient history, art and archaeology. Classics can be studied as either a 3-year or 4-year course. If you have studied Latin or Classical Greek at A Level (or equivalent), you can apply for the 3-year course. If you have little or no experience of Latin or Classical Greek, then the 4-year course gives you an extra year to build the necessary foundations. More details about the course can be found on the .
